Giving to the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC)
Help Us Tell the FULL African American Story
The National Museum of African American History and Culture depends on individual support. Your fully tax-deductible (non-Membership) gift will help further the mission of the Museum and ensure its strong future. Please give as generously as possible to help elevate the African American experience to its rightful place at the center of our nation’s history and culture!
Thanks to the steadfast support of our loyal Members and donors, we are expanding and sharing digital resources with the world, impacting millions with unique stories from the collection, online exhibitions, and diverse experiences in American history—all through the African American lens.
Living History Campaign Summary
Since opening to the public in 2016, the Museum has welcomed 10 million visitors to our LEED Gold building on the National Mall, and millions more through digital engagement opportunities. Visitors of all ages benefit from the work of our unmatched brain trust of scholars and museum professionals, each of whom is changing the face of research, exhibitions, and programs.
To fulfill the Museum’s vision and mission, we have embarked on a $350 million fundraising campaign to secure the Museum’s financial well-being for future generations; provide global leadership in education and scholarship on the African American experience; attract the best scholars and thinkers; expand our most successful initiatives; and build advanced digital platforms that will provide access to all.
